Happy Halloween
Days seem to pass by very quickly, the older you get, the faster it passes by. Soon, if you don't do whatever it is you want to do, you'll find yourself aged, wrinkly, greying and rheumatoid. If you're especially unlucky, you may come under the attack of a nasty disease of which the risk of getting it increases exponentially with age. Cancer, Alzheimer's, heart disease, stroke, Parkinson's... the possibilities are endless. It's frightening but true. Sometimes, some people aren't lucky enough to even get to realise they're aged and wrinkly, life just gets stolen away so quickly in the blink of an eye, one minute you're driving happily on the highway with the radio blasting your favourite song, and the next minute, you're lying trapped under jagged metal debris, the only song in your ears being the ringing of the ambulance sirens and the throbbing pain in your legs. I wonder at that moment, when people are dying, what the hell goes through their minds. Maybe its the faces of the people closest to them, maybe its the past regrets that seem to haunt their daily conscience, maybe its something stupid and meaningless like the fish sliced noodle soup they had for lunch.
Anyway, enough sombre thoughts.. I finally cooked something. And it turned out pretty well. The only reason I did it was because I had nothing to do on a friday night and I was just itching to do SOMETHING. Mum had taichi, boyfriend had to study, friends were preoccupied.. so I went to Jason's Supermarket and bought some spinach fettucini, mushrooms, zuchinni, bratwurst sausage, olives, cheese, and Greek pasta sauce and whipped up something that looked like this:

Think my mum was shocked I could actually cook anything at all, much less make it look that good and taste that fantastic :P Okay, it didn't taste Fantastic, just superb. Hahah.. the sauce wasn't as tasty as it could have been. Probably cos it was store bought. Mum says if I make my own sauce it would be much more delicious.
The next day was Saturday and my colleagues and I had plans to attend Zouk's annual Halloween party. My first Halloween party ever..! Went shopping in the day with cubicle-mate (blondie) and realised there are some pretty cool shops in Holland V. Anyway I was supposed to go as Chun Li (you know, that StreetFighter babe) but couldn't find a suitable cheongsum so ended up with Plan B - be a Gypsy. Do I look Gypsish? Ah well, after all the effort dressing up, putting on long fake black nails which made me severely handicapped in picking up anything at all, we still didn't get in free. Apparently, we weren't Good Enough *scoff*. The Scottish Highlander (he had a kilt on and painted his face) and Ninja you see in the pics got in free though. Was mighty interesting checking out all the costumes there though. Alotta babes in nurse costumes, police outfits, some just wore lacy underwear and garter belts. Yup, I can see why any man would want to attend. I saw HARD GAY there!! Hahah! He was a bit short and skinnier than usual, but oh boy, he could definitely gyrate. Very entertaining. There were also the usual witches, bloody people, cavemen, clams, and ppl in whole body suits which included a panda, a Snoopy, and a few gorillas.

Can you see hard gay's leg hair?? eew!
Actually met up with the bf before heading off to Blondie's house to get changed for Halloween. We had dinner at taka and walked ard a bit before I had to rush off. Now he's complaining my parties are more impt than him. Sheesh. Men are so hard to please. He's the busy one and he's still complaining. Well I guess its kinda true, but hey, I have to entertain myself no? O well, shall be good and pay more attention to the boobman (I call him that cos he has big boobs) :D
It's monday again.. hang in there till next wkend! (no wonder time flies)
